Valeria is a UK based illustrator living in a small town in South Wales. She studied BA Illustration at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Her passion is to illustrate animals, nature, food, portraits and editorial pieces. She also enjoys teaching and talking about art and illustration. She completed her PGCE/PCET degree which gave more opportunities to teach illustration, leading successful workshops and creative events. She is working as a lecturer in Gower College Swansea and UWTSD - WUT. She is running watercolour/ink workshops in South Wales, around Swansea and Neath Port Talbot area and regularly hold workshops in The PaintPot https://www.thepaintpot.org/ and watercolour workshops in The Angel. Valeria also offers private watercolour workshops from your own home and comfort for you and your family/friends. Get in touch if you would like more information!
Valeria enjoys creating a wide range of illustrations from portraits to editorial, nature, and food illustration. Her style could be described as a quirky, funny with loose sketchy lines mixed with vibrant watercolour with her old fashioned dip pen. She enjoys paintings with other mediums too such as oil, ink, and acrylics.
In October 2020, Valeria's first illustrated book - Samira's Wish by Saviour Pirotta - was published by Wacky Bee Books.
